Medaevum

Those who once ruled this world are largely absent in the aftermath of the great cataclysm that left it so destroyed. Those who practice divine magic still retain their powers, and still feel a divine presence from time to time. However, their voice which was once strong has been reduced and distorted. Usually a faint muffle, sometimes a keening wail, a distortion of unknown providence keeping them from sending a coherent message.

The will of the gods, such as it is, is now at the interpretation of their remaining followers.
